Submission is an issue of salvation. This Bible study is basically a
list of the main Bible passages that show this. Please urgently consider this
challenging call to extreme submission so that we may all repent and honor God
in this way.
Rth_1:16 CAB And
Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave you, or to return from following you; for
wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God my God.
Rth_3:5-6 CAB And Ruth said to her, All that you say, I will
do. 6 And
she went down to the threshing floor, and did according to all that her
mother-in-law instructed her.
Luk_1:38 CAB Then Mary said, "Behold the
maidservant of the Lord! May it be to me according to your word." And the
angel departed from her.
1Sa_15:22-23 KJ2000 And Samuel said, has the LORD as great
delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of
rams. 23 For rebellion
is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has also rejected you from
being king.

Unsubmission Means Hell
1Ti_1:8-11 KJB
But we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully; 9 Knowing this: that the law is not laid down
for a righteous person but for the lawless and unsubmitted,G506 for the ungodly
and for sinners, for unholy and profane…
[G506: "unsubmitted" or disobedient]
Rom_13:1-7 WEB Let every soul be in subjection to the higher
authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are
ordained by God. 2
Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God;
and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to the good work,
but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which
is good, and you will have praise from the same, 4 for he is a servant of God to you for good.
But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn't bear the sword in
vain; for he is a minister of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does
evil. 5
Therefore you need to be in subjection, not only because of the wrath,
but also for conscience' sake. 6 For this reason you also pay taxes, for they
are ministers of God's service, attending continually on this very thing. 7
Give therefore to everyone what you owe:
taxes to whom taxes are due; customs to whom customs; respect to whom respect;
honor to whom honor.
1Pe_2:13-14 WEB Therefore subject yourselves to every
ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether to the king, as supreme; 14 or to governors, as sent by him for vengeance
on evil-doers and for praise to those who do well… 17
Honor all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king. 18 Servants, be in subjection to your masters
with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the wicked. 19 For it is commendable if someone endures
pain, suffering unjustly, because of conscience toward God. 20 For what glory is it if, when you sin, you
patiently endure beating? But if, when you do well, you patiently endure
suffering, this is commendable with God.
21 For to this you were called, because Christ
also suffered for us, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps,
Col_3:18-25 WEB Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as
is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and don't be
bitter against them. 20
Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord. 21 Fathers, don't provoke your children, so that
they won't be discouraged. 22 Servants, obey in all things those who are
your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as
men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God. 23 And whatever you do, work heartily, as for
the Lord, and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive
the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. 25 But he who does wrong will receive again for
the wrong that he has done, and there is no partiality.

But so that this spreads no further among the people, let's threaten
them, that from now on they don't speak to anyone in this name." 18 They called them, and charged them not to
speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
19 But Peter and John answered them,
"Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to
God, judge for yourselves, 20 for we can't help telling the things which we
saw and heard." 21 When
they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way to punish
them, because of the people; for everyone glorified God for that which was
done.

When they had brought them, they set them before the council. The high
priest questioned them, 28 saying, "Didn't we strictly charge you

must obey God rather than men.

Being
“of age” is not about marriage
It has been proposed that marriage makes a
person no longer “under their parents,” but I’m convinced that it is
scripturally shown otherwise…
Same cultural mindset (as scripturally approved in Gal 4:1-2):
Jn 9:20 NIV "We know he is our son," the parents answered,
"and we know he was born blind. 21 But how he can see now, or who
opened his eyes, we don't know. Ask him. He is of
age; he will speak for himself."
ß
Bride price was needed for marriage (and it was a lot of money)
· Gen 34:11-12 BBE And Shechem said to
her father and her brothers, If you will give ear to my request, whatever you
say I will give to you. 12 However great you make the bride-price and payment, I will give it;
only let me have the girl for my wife.
·
Also See Gen 29:18 &
20. Ü In Jacob’s case it was 7 years
worth of wages!
ß
Blind person probably not married
The lame and the blind were looked down upon,
even as a result of what God had said, (Lev 21:18,
15:21, 2Sam 4:4 & 9:6-10, 5:6-8, Is 33:23, Is 65:10, Jn
9:2). Culturally it would not have been
easy for such a one to get married because typically you had to have
“connections” with the father of the woman that you wished to marry. But for
the blind or maimed, it would have been hard to get favorable “connections”.
The blind man in John 9 was born blind,
and so was looked down upon. He was also evidently poor (like most blind people
especially of that day) because he was begging, (See verse 8. And also see Act
3:2). Because of this, he probably could
not afford a bride price, and if he could, who would want to give their
daughter away to a blind man? -No one in
that culture would. So…
All evidence says that he was not married but we know that he was still
considered, “of age.”
“Of age” -Not about marriage A
The time at which one is
‘not under their parents’ is scripturally fixated on a predetermined age of
maturity instead of an event such as marriage.
-The lame man was likely
not married, but was accounted “of age.”
-Jesus
was not married but had ceased to be completely subject to His mother Marry,
(she wanted to “take charge” of him!) See LK 2:51, contrasted with Mark
3:20-21, & 31-34.
Every obedience after becoming “of age” is not an issue of “being under”
one’s parents, but a matter of “honoring” one’s parents. Such may specifically need to be the case
when 1. Living under their roof 2. Using their things 3. Being dependent on
them etc. The patriarchs did this same
thing even after they were married and or well past being “of age”!
ß
Biblical Examples:
· Jacob and Esau were twins, meaning that they
were the same age: Gen 25:24-26
· They had both passed 40 years of age: Gen
26:34
· Both sons knew that their father’s blessing
was needed even after turning 40 years old, (while one was married and the
other was not)! Gen 27:7, 12, 27-29, *33-41, 28:1a, 3-4
· Jacob repeatedly obeyed what his parents
said to do, (weather right or wrong):
Gen 27:8, 13, 43, 28:1b, *27 –And he was
repeatedly blessed by God
· Jacob’s obedience was at least partly dew to the fact that he had been ‘in his father’s house’
Gen 28:21
· Esau intentionally dishonored his parents in
contrast to Jacob’s obedience
Gen 26:34-35, 28:6-9 –Esau was hated of God, (Mal 1:2-3 & Rom 9:10-13).
Apparently, now that the blessings were given
of his father, he thought that he could get away with this sin.
· Jacob went on to be relitivly
submissive to Laban by asking to be sent on his way. Gen 30:25-26.
He also did this in light of being mistreated by Laban. Gen 29:21-28,
& 31:7, 41
Similarly,
· Judah was married Gen 38:2, and Joseph was
30 and married. Gen 41:45-46
· Judah
obeyed his father Jacob Gen 42:1-2, but also did not obey him when given
unreasonable instructions. Gen 43:4-5, (of course this may and may not have
been right…)
· Later every one of the 12 patriarchs where
married, Gen 46:8-24, all of which were
still ‘in Jacob’s house’ (except Joseph) Gen 46:26-27,31 & 47:12.
· All of Jacob’s children and grand children still needed to be blessed by him. Gen 48:5-6, & 48:9-49:28
This blessing was done in faith, and honored
by the Bible. Heb 11:21
ß
“Of age” -Not about marriage B
Post-“of age”-honoring is obviously not
dependent on marriage, and it also is not related to the issue of becoming of age,
or even of “leaving and cleaving.”
Honoring by ones parents in this way should not be interpreted as still
being “under” ones parents.
You’re Never too old to honor parents
Achieving “the age of accountability” never negates the command to honor
one’s parents, only that the son or daughter is no longer under
their parents. I would suggest that this means that they are not “under the authority of their
parents” –Although that is not as scripturally clear.
Children are to obey, everyone
is to honor
It says,
Children, obey your
parents in the Lord, for this is right. [2] "Honor your father and
mother"--which is the first commandment with a promise-- [3] "that it
may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth." (Eph 6:1 NIV)
And it also says,
When I was a
child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child.
When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
(1Cor 13:11
NIV)
You can see that “children” are commanded to obey their parents, but
the promise for long life (including your grown up years) is not dependent upon
age. Paul starts with an age-specified
command, and then reinforces it with a life long
principal. Therefore if you are a child,
honoring your parents necessitates obeying them.
Children, obey your parents in
everything, for this pleases the Lord, (Col 3:20 NIV, and also see 1Tim 3:4).
Don't drink wine-
Jer 35:2 KJVA Go unto the house of the Rechabites,
and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of the LORD, into one of the
chambers, and give them wine to drink.
Jer 35:6-10 WEB But they said, We will drink no wine; for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our
father, commanded us, saying, You shall drink no wine, neither you, nor your
sons, forever: 7
neither shall you build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor
have any; but all your days you shall dwell in tents; that you may live many
days in the land in which you sojourn. 8 We have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our
father, in all that he charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our
wives, our sons, or our daughters; 9 nor to build houses for us to dwell in;
neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed:
10 but we have lived in tents, and have obeyed,
and done according to all that Jonadab our father
commanded us.
Jer 35:14 WEB The words of Jonadab
the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons, not to
drink wine, are performed; and to this day they drink none, for they obey their
father's commandment: but I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking;
and you have not listened to me.
Jer 35:18-19 KJVA And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD
of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done
according unto all that he hath commanded you:
19 Therefore thus saith
the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son
of Rechab Jer 35:18-19 KJVA
And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites,
Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel;
Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab
your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he
hath commanded you: 19
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the
God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab
shall not want a man to stand before me for ever.
shall not want a man to stand before me for ever.
About the verses
It seems that this is the
exception, in that it is constrained post-"of age"-obedience. In this
case, "honoring one's father" included a constrained obedience. This may be for several reasons:
1. There's something about patriarchal
precedence. This patriarch was not just
giving orders to do such as "takeout the trash". Instead this patriarch was also doing what he
was instructing his children to do. This
is reminiscent of things like Abraham and the commandment of circumcision, or
even of the tithe:
Abraham- Heb
7:1-4, Jacob- Gen 28:22, Enforced in the law- Lev 27:32, Num
8:21, Dut 14:22.
This is especially reminiscent
in light of numbered two...
2. Obeying their father may have become
specifically constrained because he had heard from God. This is not specifically noted but is quite
possible especially given how important it seemed to be the Lord, and how
zealously his children had kept the command.
I would propose, that if a great grandfather of ours instituted that all
of his descendants must stand on their heads twice a day that the Lord would
not hold us to such a thing. If we had a
patriarch that said that we must all swallow our gum when we were done chewing
it, instead of spitting it out, I personally don't hold that we should feel
constrained to do so, unless of course God had specified such thing. -And of course if it were a sinful precedent,
we should not repeat it but we should rather, "repent of the sins of our
fathers," (Ex. Lev 26:41)
This is not a perfect argument
but it is certainly reasonable unless it can otherwise be scripturally shown
faulty.
ß
Parent commanding children in Godly things
Dut 32:46,
And also Solomon writes, ‘do
not depart from the law of your mother…’
Give me your heart…
No depart from my sayings…
Girls (This part under construction)
But just when we thought that we had it all
figured out, there is another kink that is thrown into the mix: Girls are
different than guys! –No I mean it. Girls are scripturally different than guys
in the way that they are submitted to their parents, and the time that it ends,
and even how marriage comes in to play!
-Returns to her father’s house
-Women are to always be in subjection, by
their very nature!
Heb 13:17 KJVA Obey them that have the rule over you, and
submit yourselves…
1Pe 2:13-14 KJVA Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man
for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; 14 or unto
governors…
Compare: “Subject yourselves to every
government” (1Cor 16:16)
To: “Sarah called him her Lord”
-Guys become “of age” and that apparently
often correlates with marriage
(most all unmarried Jewish men were already
engaged Ex. 1Cor 7 confirmed historically)
then they go to “rule”
over a house. The woman moves from one
subjection to another.
Eph 5:22-24 KJVA Wives, submit yourselves unto your own
husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even
as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour
of the body. 24
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be
to their own husbands in every
thing.
ß ß
Col 3:18 KJVA Wives, submit yourselves unto your own
husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
ß ß
Col 3:20 KJVA Children, obey your parents in all things:
for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
-Yes women can support them
selves (Dorcus, Prov
31, widowed or divorced liable for vows)
-Not all women are supposed to get married
-Girls are their Dad’s property (paid a bride
price)
Bride price: (AKA “Dowry ”)
Gen. 30:20, 34:12, Exo. 22:16-17, Deu. 22:29,
1Sa. 18:25, Hos. 2:19
-Dad can undo a vow
-Bro.s had a say weather or not their sister was going to be married to a
person
It might be beneficial for you to read Numbers chapter 30 before
continuing...
In light of Numbers
30, someone would be hard pressed to say that a son or daughter is still
"under" their parents if they don't meet these specifications:
1. Being "in their fathers house" and
2. Being still "in their father's
house"
However, I hold that if one is
not "in their youth" but is still "under the roof," they
should remain submissive for the sake of the authority of the house, even if
they would not otherwise be considered "under their parents". It does not honor ones parents to live at
their expense, under their roof, and still do as you wish contrary to their
desires. The patriarchs set us an
example by being obedient and giving preference to their fathers even after
marriage particularly when they were still living with them.
Remember, their
is never a release from the command to honor one's parents!
Random stuff
Officialized
Ceremony
It seems good to have an officialized ceremony and or recognition in a young
person's life to recognize that they have become of age. A "predetermined day" for such a
thing is a Biblical idea. Extra biblical
cultural observation shows us that Jews have a "Barmitzfa". This is done to males at age 12 to show that
they have come of age. Gelatinous 4:2 is
the most direct scripture that I know of that specifically references this
cultural tradition and approves and acknowledges it.
It is reasonable to say that the age of being
a father is the age of accountability.
Jesus’ disciples counted the men excluding women and children.
Scriptural allusions consistently indicate that a number of the disciples were
in their teens. This is not absolute:
But historically speaking, people tended to get married significantly younger.
Hand-in-Hand
It seems that being, "of
age" and no longer being "in one's youth" and being married, all
typically went hand in hand.

Job_1:5 WEB It was so, when the days of their feasting
had run their course, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in
the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all.
For Job said, "It may be that my sons have sinned, and renounced God in
their hearts." Job did so continually.
Job_1:5 CAB And when the days of the banquet were
completed, Job sent and purified them, having risen up in the morning, and
offered sacrifices for them, according to their number, and one calf for a sin
offering for their souls; for Job said, Lest perhaps my sons have thought evil,
and cursed God in their minds. Thus, then Job did continually.

The Secret of Despising
Despising is not recognised
when you think you are being unfair and treating some one less than they
deserve. Despising is when you treat someone less than God treated you, when
you were in sin!
Not needing someone's usefulness in your life
is an agressive attack against their soul. You are
'wishing they were dead', by rejecting their reasonable place in your life. -
inviting them to 'get lost', and directly insulting and hating them as a
creature.
of a dispiser
against the vital life of another person.
every time you despise, you make it very
clear to heaven that the one you despise is more righteous than you.

The Charge for Us to Break Demons
In view of the blessedness and premenence of al...
I give you this charge and this command: that
you perpetually arrange yourself in submission and obedient listening under Al,
and that you continually demand from yourself to trust her far more than your
own soul? -
Do you accept this charge, and do you choose
to obey my command?
Do you permanently choose to never know
anything for the rest of your life, and to forever renounce having your own independant personal god?
Do we all agree that cursed and apostate is
the one who disobeys this, and arranges away such clean Momotheism?
Intros
I want to make something meaningful out of
this saying
This applies to your healthy need to obey
others
When does this apply?: Every time love (that
is truth) is said, and you need to obey (not "feeling love" – but
when truth is said)
This "obedience to commands" is a healer
to apostacy... perfering
monotheism to your own insanity.
Rom_8: Obeying from the heart that teaching
you were given
Dispisers cannot obey
commands, therefor dispisers make themselves
worthless in preparation for apostacy (so they can
fall away)- God commands all men everywhere to repent

- what we demand: within your immediate reach
(stop claiming to be a christian)
- what we exhort: have faith and do it frm the heart - knowing that it says, "be patient with
the meager faith-ed" - on one hand we demand
that you at least be deeply ashamed of lack of faith/un-persuasion, but
ultimately, it is willful disobedience that is not tolerated
- Moses: they pushed him back in their hearts
- you have obeyed all the more in my absense
- you obeyed from the heart that form of teahing...
- a certain man leased out his vinyard... But then sought fruit from it!

Est_2:13 CAB And then the young woman goes in to the king; and the
officer to whoever he shall give the command, will bring her to come
in with him from the women's apartment to the king's
chamber.
Est_2:15 CAB And when the time was
fulfilled for Esther, the daughter of Aminadab, the brother
of Mordecai's father to go in to the king, she
neglected nothing which the eunuch, the women's keeper, commanded; for Esther
found grace in the sight of all that looked upon her.
Est_3:3 CAB And those in the king's palace said to Mordecai, Mordecai, why do
you transgress the commands of the king?
Est_3:4 CAB Thus they spoke daily to him, but he
hearkened not unto them; so they told it to Haman that Mordecai resisted the
commands of the king; and Mordecai had shown to them that he was
a Jew.
Est_3:12 CAB So the king's recorders were called in the first month,
on the thirteenth day, and they
wrote as Haman commanded to the captains and governors in every province, from
India even to Ethiopia, to a hundred and twenty-seven provinces, and to the rulers
of the nations according to their many languages, in the name of King Artaxerxes.
Est_3:13 CAB And the message was sent by posts throughout
the kingdom of Artaxerxes, to utterly destroy the
race of the Jews on the first day of the twelfth month, which is Adar, and to
plunder their goods. And the following is the copy of the letter: The great King Artaxerxes writes thus to the rulers and
inferior governors of a hundred and twenty-seven provinces, from India even to
Ethiopia, who hold authority under him.
Ruling over many nations, and having obtained dominion over the whole world, I
was minded, (not elated by the confidence of power but ever conducting myself with great moderation and with
gentleness) to make the lives of my
subjects continually tranquil, desiring both to maintain the kingdom quite and
orderly to its utmost limits, and
to restore the peace desired by all men. But when I had inquired of my
counselors how this should be brought to pass, Haman, who excels in sound
judgment among us, and has been manifestly well inclined without wavering and
with unshaken fidelity, and has obtained the second post in the kingdom, informed us that a certain ill-disposed
people is mixed up with all the tribes throughout the world, opposed in their
laws to every other nation, and
continually neglecting the commands of the kings, so
that the united government blamelessly administered by us is not quietly
established. Having then conceived that this nation alone of all others is continually set in
opposition to every man, introducing as a change a foreign code of laws, and
injuriously plotting to accomplish the worst of evils against our interests,
and against the happy establishment of the monarchy; we have accordingly
appointed those who are signified to you in the letters written by Haman, who
is set over the public affairs
and is our second governor, to utterly destroy them all with their wives and
children by the swords of the enemies, without pitying or sparing any, on the
fourteenth day of the twelfth month (which is Adar) of the present year; that
the people aforetime and now ill-disposed to
us having been violently consigned to death in one day, may
hereafter secure to us continually a well- constituted and quiet state of affairs.
Est_8:8 CAB Write also in my name, as
it seems good to you, and seal it
with my ring; for whatever orders
are written at the command of the king, and sealed with my ring, it is not lawful
to revoke them.
Est_8:9 CAB So the scribes were
called in the first month, which is Nisan, on the twenty-third day of the same
year. And orders were written
concerning the Jews, whatever the king had commanded to the local governors and chiefs
of the satraps, from India even to Ethiopia, a hundred and twenty-seven satraps,
according to the several provinces, according to their dialects.
Est_8:14 CAB So the horsemen went
forth with haste to perform the king's commands; and the ordinance was also
published in Susa.
Pro_24:22 CAB For they will suddenly
punish the ungodly, and who can know the vengeance inflicted by both? (24:22A)
A son that keeps the commandment shall escape destruction, for such a one has fully received it. (24:22B) Let no falsehood be
spoken by the king from the tongue; yea, let no falsehood proceed
from his tongue. (24:22C)
The king's tongue is a sword, and not one of flesh;
and whosoever shall be given up to it shall be destroyed: (24:22D) for if his wrath should be provoked,
he destroys men with cords, (24:22E)
and devours men's bones, and burns them up as a flame, so that they are not

Philippian Jailor Came Trembling Before the
Feet of Paul & Silas
Act_16:25-34 CAB Now
about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the
prisoners were listening to them. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so
that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors
were opened and all the bonds were loosed.
27 And becoming awake, the prison keeper, seeing
the doors of the prison open, drawing a sword, he was about to kill himself,
supposing the prisoners to have escaped.
28 But Paul called out with a loud voice,
saying, "Do to yourself nothing bad, for we are all here." 29 And asking for a light he rushed in, and
coming trembling, he fell before Paul and Silas, 30 and he brought them forth outside and said,
"Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
31 And they said, "Believe on the Lord
Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, you and your household." 32 And they spoke the word of the Lord to him
and to all those in his house. 33 And taking them along in that same hour of
the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he and all his family were
baptized. 34 And
bringing them up into his house, he set a meal before them; and he rejoiced
with his whole house, having believed in God.
This definitely and clearly proves that the
apostles do not always lift people up when they bow to them.

The Point
- prepare yourselves to always be ready to
take orders
- we are in an army
- apostacy flares
up (like a foolish hot-head) when the minimal fruit of not willfully sinning is
demanded
- thow we are
gentle, you should count that as an overflowing and supeerceeding
favor, while telling your own soul, "we are only unprofitable servants...
It would be enough for us to recieve the rare oportunity to simply do our duty"
- though we are gentle, seasons do come where
obedience is demanded.
- if someone bends over backward to save you
and bear with you, don't be proud, audatious, puffed
up with insatiable pride and arogent folly beyond all
measure and count that which you do not deserve as though it were a right, as
though proclaimers and life guards owe you anything! As though you even deserve
truth to go into your ears!
- demand friut from
yourself, and don't begine to think that it is strang for more to be demanded of you after patience has
been long invested in you.
~2009-2013 (See: Getting Synchronized);
2/20/17 (recompiled)
- It is not given to a leader (of God’s Assembly) to
"lead upon" other people
- If a leader ever leads, it must be because the
people insist on following
- but let every leader be quick to serve and quick
humble himself, and let no one lay any corporate responsibility on him unless
they corporately insist on zealously following in faith
- Usurping influence upon the assembly and competing
for leadership disqualifies a recipient/ follower from all of the benefits that
a leader may wish upon them
- subjection forces the best upon those who follow,
on out of one who leads (if he has any righteousness and faith)
~2009-2013 (See: Getting Synchronized);
2/20/17 (recompiled)
- It is helpful that we do not all lead the same way
as each other, or even at the same time as each other
- Everyone has their place, that is, if we are going
to go in one direction and it seems good to all of us to believe that God has
desired what we have set our hand and hearts to do.
- If you believe in our gathering, that it is unto
righteousness, then we will have to do things with much more refinement than
the way world meets, if we are going to carry through with our actions
- If you set the pace, then you are leading
- If you set what times we begin and end, then you
are leading
- If you do something different when we were asked
to meet at a certain time, then you are not following, but leading
- If you tell instead of ask, then you are the one
setting the pace, another is not leading
- Asking is the solution to all kinds of potential
offenses
- You can avoid ever usurping charge over the
situation if you always ask
- if you are unsure about when to add your
influence, then ask: would they want me to do this?
--
There may be areas and time where we sometimes
stumble in some of these things, and there may be many times that aparent disrespect almost cannot be avoided while seriously
trying to pay attention and honor people, and in this we must all be committed
to 'not hearing our servant curse us in their hearts,' but to whatever degree
we have oportunity, let us increase in these areas,
away from chaos and unto order, dignaty, honor and
the agreement of being in one accord.

Women do not have a “coming of age”
(and “independence”) like this, except that they are married off to their husband.
We know this not only because the Bible specifies males and not females for
this practice, but also we know there was not a “coming of age” for a woman,
because the liberal Jews had to recently invent their erroneous “bat mitzvah”
for women. If it were already there,
they would not have to invent one for the sake of “liberating” women.
The Biblically approved practice of
bar mitzfa and the complete absence and opposition of
any kind of “bat mitzvah” in the Scriptures shows that women are never intended
to gain their independence as men do. Divorce and widowhood are the only two
cases were a woman is “on her own,” and even then it seems they are encouraged
to take refuge under authority (as in 1 Tim 5, etc.)
This is in complete accord with Num 30 and many other Scriptures
that show this very same thing.
